Taft and St. Edwards graduate Kari Wright is now the softball and cross-country head coach at Medina High School.
Wright, a standout Raider softball player during the late ‘90’s, has been a club coach in the area since graduating from St. Ed’s in 2004.

A tragedy has struck the town of Medina, and the people there could use your prayers and support.
Crystal Haynes and her husband Bo Haynes were involved in a very serious motorcycle accident on Sunday. Crystal lost her life, and Bo is at University Hospital. He lost a leg below the knee.
They are the parents of Michael Haynes, the Medina High School pole vaulter who participated in the UIL State Track Meet just a week earlier.
PLease keep the family and the Medina community in your prayers.

Here’s some of the Area 1A Track Meet from Thursday April 16 - in pictures.

Runners from Thorndale, Brackett, Louise, Snook, Stacey, and Mason give it their all.

Medina HS knows a thing or two about pole vaulting.

… and the long jump.

Mason is back and competing in the pole vault.

If it’s postseason time, you can bet that Thorndale girls will be competing.

This has been a great year for the Louise HS relay team.

Mason and Rocksprings runners battle for first place.

Brackett vs. Mason…

The District 30-1A Track Meet was held on Wednesday at La Pryor High School. And SAsports.com was there to capture the event in pictures…

Hurdlers from La Pryor and Brackett rush to the finish line.

A Center Point pole vaulter with success on the mind.

The Stacey Eagles came to compete; you might recognize this columnist!

Photo finish…

Medina always comes to win…

The hometown Bulldogs try to fight off a surge by Center Point.
