Boys basketball playoffs: Kerrville Tivy vs. Dripping Springs - In Pictures

The Tivy Antlers trailed Dripping Springs with just over four minutes left in the fourth quarter before their defense took over, and defeated the Tigers 43-37 Monday night at Champion High School in Boerne.

The win sends Tivy to the regional semifinals Friday versus Harlandale, to be played in Littleton Gym at Blossom Athletic Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00pm.

Football Playoffs recap; Thursday results

La Pryor and Dripping Springs were among the SAsports.com teams that advanced to the area playoffs after both were victorious on Thursday night.

Coach Randy Graf and the La Pryor Bulldogs celebrated their first football playoff game since 1999 with a big 49-21 win over Menard at Barry Field in Hondo, Texas. They advance to the area round to take on the Falls City-Santa Maria winner next week.

Also, Dripping Springs knocked off Austin Travis 14-7 at House Park on Thursday. The Tigers move on to face either Kerrville Tivy or Burbank in the area round.

Other winners in Region IV included Sealy in 3A, Refugio in 2A, and Bruni in 1A.

SAsports.com Volleyball Tour Stop - Dripping Springs

Tonight, SAsports.com will be at Dripping Springs High School for a Tour Stop with music and announcing, as the 26-4A champion Tiger Volleyball team (30-9, 11-0) takes on Austin Travis. Music starts at 5:00, followed by freshman, JV and varsity matches.

Tonight is Senior Night (Class of 2009 posted above), Middle School night, and the drumline will perform. We hope to see everyone there!
