SAsports.com Jaguar Classic starts Thursday!

It’s that time again!

The SAsports.com Jaguar Classic runs Thursday through Saturday at Floresville High School, and with 24 high school teams it is the best girls basketball tourney in South Texas.

Teams include Steele, East Central, Highlands, Brackenridge, Kerrville Tivy, Brandeis, Bandera, Southside, Floresville, CC Miller, Calallen, La Vernia, Burbank, Cuero, Beeville Jones, Lytle, Poth, Medina Valley, Lee, Del Rio, La Joya, Southwest, Stevens, and Poteet.

We will see you in Floresville beginning Thursday!

Toot leaves Comfort for Cuero

Longtime Comfort boys basketball coach Colin Toot, who has been with the Bobcats for 22 years, has made the move to Cuero High School.

Toot will coach boys basketball along with boys and girls golf, the same coaching responsibilities he had at Comfort.

Cuero athlete gets recognition

Cuero baseball pitcher Tyler Arndt was named to the Victoria Advocate Honor roll for last week’s performance.

Arndt allowed one run over five innings on three hits while striking out seven, along with going 2-for-3 with a triple, a run and three RBIs in a win over Calhoun.
