27-4A saw Boerne Champion upset Alamo Heights 70-62, behind a solid performance by senior Janes Rogers, who scored 20. Combine that with Kerrville Tivy’s 60-49 win over Seguin and Steele’s 81-58 victory at sister school Clemens, and the playoff race is getting interesting. Current standings:
Kerrville Tivy 7-1
Alamo Heights 5-3
Steele 4-3
Seguin 4-4
Boerne Champion 3-5
NB Canyon 2-5
Clemens 2-6

SAsports.com is hosting three Project Graduation Nights this week, and we want your senior to be a part of it. Here’s the schedule:
Thursday night: Alamo Heights
Friday night: Floresville
Saturday night: Clemens
For those unfamiliar, Project Graduation is an after-graduation lock-in party in which lots of activities are planned, and thousands of dollars in prizes will be awarded. Three meals will be served; volleyball, softball, trike races, karaoke - it’s non-stop action for the Class of 2009.
And most importantly, our graduates stay safe.
Sign your senior up at the Alamo Heights, Floresville, or Clemens school office today. They will thank you later.

It’s not often that someone with the #17 plays a game on her 17th birthday, but Sabrina Gonzalez did exactly that last night against Alamo Heights.

And it’s hard to believe that since SAsports.com started in 2001, this was our first Tour Stop ever for Alamo Heights. The Lady Mules responded with an 11-3 win over Clemens. This victory put Alamo Heights in a three-way tie for second with Seguin and Boerne Champion at 4-3 in 27-4A.

Alex Gracia fired some heat for the Lady Buffs.

Natalie Weyand did the same for Heights.

Taylor Johnson has made her family proud this season.

Clemens Coach Lauren Zimmerman instructs from the third base coaching box.

Safe at third… and AH Coach Alma Goodwin agrees.

The Lady Mules made plays when they needed them the most.

Clemens made a few rallies, but it wouldn’t be enough.

Coach Goodwin liked what she saw last night. One big highlight: Courtney Carr of Alamo Heights led off the bottom of the 1st with an inside-the-park homer.
