Boerne Champion pounds out 20 hits in 23-3 victory over Tivy
After scoring 14 runs Tuesday at New Braunfels Canyon, Boerne Champion kept the offensive momentum going in their 23-3 victory over the Tivy Antlers Thursday Night at Boerne Champion High School in five innings.
A Champion (14-7, 3-3 in 27-4A) win would not have been a surprise, but the ease of their victory was startling. Tivy (9-8-2, 3-3 in 27-4A), which went three rounds deep in last year’s playoffs before losing to Alamo Heights, could not contain the Chargers offense after the first inning.

After the Class 4A Region Champion Game at Littleton Gym Saturday afternoon, one of the Lake Travis fathers was overheard to say, “So you still think we’re a football school?”
Well, in a sense, yes. The Lake Travis side seemed a bit subdued, and since they last lost a football game, Lake Travis has won three state championships and lost two head football coaches.
