District champ Brackenridge claims 58-36 victory over Fox Tech

The newly state ranked Brackenridge Eagles kept their momentum with a 58-36 victory over the Fox Tech Buffaloes Tuesday night at the Alamo Convocation Center.

Brackenridge (18-11, 12-0 in 28-4A) entered the Texas Association of Coaches Poll at #24 Monday. They clinched the 28-4A champion outright with their victory over Kennedy last Friday, combined with Fox Tech’s loss to Memorial.

Lady Eagles headed to postseason after 59-52 victory over Fox Tech

The Brackenridge Lady Eagles earned fourth place and a postseason berth in 28-4A with a 59-52 victory over the Fox Tech Lady Buffaloes Tuesday night at the Alamo Convocation Center.

Brackenridge (10-23, 7-7 in 28-4A) will face Steele in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs next week. Steele finished tied with Boerne Champion for first in 27-4A, and was named the first seed out of the district on a coin toss. Fox Tech finishes in seventh place in 28-4A.

Dragons overtake Buffaloes PDF Print Email

Alexander, Pastrano lead Southwest scoring in 69-55 victory

Justin Alexander scored 22 and Ray Pastrano added 20 in leading the Southwest Dragons to a 69-55 victory over the Fox Tech Buffaloes Tuesday afternoon at the Alamo Convocation Center.

Fox Tech pulled within 10-9 early on a basket by Johnny Jones before a putback by Alexander ignited a 13-2 Dragon run. Throughout the first half, Fox Tech used ball movement to get good looks at the basket, but suffered a cold streak shooting the ball. The Buffaloes never came within single digits the rest of the game.

East Central swarms Fox Tech PDF Print Email

Lady Hornets race to 77-35 victory

The East Central Lady Hornets built a commanding 27-10 lead, then went on a 30-0 run on their way to defeating the Fox Tech Lady Buffaloes 77-35 in non-district action Tuesday afternoon at the Alamo Convocation Center.

The game was delayed 30 minutes until the officials arrived; they were greeted by applause.
