Thursday night's football game between Antonian and Burbank has been rescheduled for Fiday September 3, 7:30 at Antonian.
Last night's game was called off due to excessive lightning. |

Bulldogs remain undefeated in district with 4-2 win over Edison
When Burbank faced Edison Tuesday night at Spring Sports Complex Field #1, the future of the district was on display.
Burbank started two freshman, pitcher Matthew Ramirez and center fielder Eduardo Salas, and Edison started three: catcher Seth Henry, first baseman Zach Garcia, and right fielder Jon Martinez.
Burbank’s freshmen ruled the day, as Salas gave Burbank their first lead with a two-run double in the fourth and Ramirez was the winning pitcher in Burbank’s 4-2 victory.

The Burbank Bulldogs scored nine runs in the first two innings, and pitcher Stephanie Contreras provided steady leadership on the mound in their five-inning 12-1 victory over Kennedy Friday night.
Burbank has already clinched a playoff spot in District 28-4A.

Bulldogs rally from down 6 in the 7th to win in 8 over Kennedy
Burbank coach Romeo Barrera, before his team’s game against the Kennedy Rockets, wore a t-shirt commemorating Burbank’s 2009 district championship.
Officially, Burbank finished in 8th place in 2009, having forfeited 13 of their 14 district for the use, however inadvertent, of an ineligible player. But Barrera chose to commemorate the results on the field to motivate his players to achieve as previous Burbank teams have.
